87 Days to go!

While I am type A to the fullest degree, my fiance Gabe is a very fly by the seat of your pants type of guy. My bridesmaid dresses were picked out and ordered the first week of January and up until a few weeks ago, the groomsman attire hadn't been finalized.

One thing we knew, the guys were going to wear suits vs. tux's and would be purchasing vs. renting.
Since we have a destination wedding, we did not want to deal with a deadline of returning a rented tux or suit. Gabe ended up selecting a 3 piece grey suit by Kenneth Cole and the guys purchased them at Burlington Coat Factory. We took a few trips to complete each suit since they sell out of this one fairly quick. Lucky for us, they have shipments each Tuesday. The total cost for each suit was under $200 - Jacket was $89, Vest was $29 and the Pants were $49 (buying was cheaper than renting!)
Now comes the issue of accessories. I am obsessed with the bow tie look with suits. However, I fear it could be too trendy. So we went with a tie. This was a very difficult task - we didn't want a solid tie but I also didn't want the guys to look like they were going to a meeting at the bank. Keeping with the Kenneth Cole theme, I found a plum and grey Jackson Silk Striped tie on Lord and Taylor, marked down from $55 to $22, with an additional 20% off. The ties were $17 each.
Finally, finding a suit for our Ring Bearer was the hardest task. Every suit package for a toddler wasn't what we were looking for. We searched high and low. One morning, I thought to look on Etsy and what I found astonished me. We purchased a 5 piece (Jacket, vest, pants, tie, shirt) suit for $39 from CarmiaShop. The suit is a little lighter than the guys but I could care less! We opted for a grey vest vs. a plum vest but kept the tie plum to match the big guys.
The only thing left to do is find a pocket square for the suits and figure out what shoes the guys are going to wear. We haven't decided if they are going the Converse chuck taylor route or wearing plain black shoes. But we did find socks at Target for $3.99!!
I look back to my very first wedding Wednesday post over a year ago and have no idea where the time keeps going. We will be saying "I Do" before we know it!
