Farm to Table Dining Meets Vineyard to Bottle at Maritana Grille

Looks like Maritana Grille, one of our favorite restaurants in the area is spicing things up again! On Monday, February 23rd at 6pm, Maritana Grille inside of Loews Don CeSar will host it's first wine dinner of the year with Cuvaison Vineyard. This dinner will feature a menu including fresh spices from Savory Spice Shop St. Pete.
Seared Cobia with Sage Risotto
The four-course dinner, creatively designed by Loews executive chef Kenny Hunsberger and Maritana Grille’s Chef de Cuisine Gavin Pera, will include a variety of dishes including a classic Seared Cobia with Fresh Bacon, Sage Risotto and Braised Chard accented with Melina International Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Herbes De Provence. Foodies will also savor innovative courses like Lamb from Florida-based Anderson Farms, with Sunchoke, Roasted Root Vegetables, Toasted Grains and Truffle Jus flavored with Italian Black Truffle Sea Salt and a Mission Fig Vinegar.

Wines for the evening are provided by Cuvaison and Brandlin. The Cuvaison Vineyard in Napa Valley is dedicated to a philosophy of producing vineyard-driven wines and employs block-by-block farming methods and a hand-crafted vineyard-to-bottle winemaking approach. This results in wines that are balanced and complex, showcasing the distinctive characteristics of the various Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.
