Hyatt Regency Orlando - Day 10 #giveaway

Tuesday, December 16, 2014
There's no question that I love the Hyatt brand. Over the past few years, I have stayed and dined at Hyatt's all over the world (<---- hey, that's kinda cool to say!). I have had the fortunate opportunity to work with Hyatt over the past few months on some really cool opportunities, such as being a guest judge while eating 32 courses at Grand Hyatt Tampa for their Grand Taste Series; being invited to a Pascual Torro dinner at Oystercatchers while winning an empanada cooking competition; enjoying afternoon tea at and Hyatt Regency Churchill; a final toast to our honeymoon at a champagne cocktail hour at Hyatt Andaz London. Needless to say - we love Hyatt :)
I had the opportunity to check out Hyatt Regency Orlando this weekend and fell in love with the resort. This property holds a special place in my heart, as I was born and raised in Central Florida. This property was once The Peabody, where I have plenty of childhood memories of going to see the ducks march before we spent the day at Disney. Although the ducks are no longer there, the property is beyond beautiful and you will find homage to the ducks around the resort.
There were chandeliers everywhere. While I loved everything about our wedding, part of me wishes I checked this location out before insisting on a destination wedding.  If I were to do it again, Hyatt Regency Orlando would have been a top choice for an Orlando wedding
I visited Hyatt Regency Orlando with one of my best friends, Darlynn, to celebrate her birthday and visit so we could go to Disney during the holiday's. Darlynn recently became a Disney passholder and this was her fist time seeing the magic of Disney during the holiday season
We started out our girls trip with a visit to The Spa at Hyatt Regency Orlando. We both received an incredible 80 minute massage prior to heading off to a long night at the parks. This spoiled me beyond belief and I am not sure how I can pull a full day at Disney again without a massage prior to!
The Spa at Hyatt Regency Orlando is pretty spectacular. If you are a guest of the spa, you can enjoy their relaxation room, steam room, Jacuzzi, showers and outdoor Serenity pools.
Following the massage, we headed up to check out our room at Hyatt Regency Orlando - an amazing suite with views of Orlando. There was even a TV in our bathroom mirror. That had me instantly thinking of my next technology "must buy".
After a quick change, we left for one of many bars located on the property to check out some martinis. They have a daily martini happy hour from 5-6 where you get half off! Plus - they carry Bungalow 23 mixers and I couldn't be happier about this. Thank you Hyatt for supporting local companies, especially ones I am very fond of!

After martini happy hour, Darlynn and I headed out to Disney's Hollywood Studios so Darlynn could see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. Although I have seen this many times, it is always magical - and when you're with a first timer, it makes for an amazing experience. Plus I made Mrs. Chicken ride Rock n Roller Coaster. Not sure if she has forgiven me for this yet or not. She closed her eyes the ENTIRE time

The next morning, we toured the property....absolutely stunning. Check out the pool's grotto!! If only it wasn't 50 degrees outside.
After our tour, we headed back to Disney for a day at Epcot. We had a wonderful time eating and drinking around the world. Our trip was way too short and much needed for both of us.

Hyatt Regency Orlando has graciously given me a one night stay as a giveaway to a reader for my 12 Days of Christmas! The location on iDrive is super convenient and located to a lot of restaurants, entertainment and bars.
