Thursday, November 15, 2012
Last month many areas of United States were affected by Hurricane Sandy. As a lifelong Florida resident, my heart was wrenched watching the destruction that hit many areas on the east coast.

If you are not familiar with the monthly subscription box, Love With Food, for every box purchased, a meal is donated to a hungry child via food banks all across America. For the months of November and December, the amazing group at Love With Food is doubling the donations to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. For the months of November and December, for every box purchased, you'll be donating 2 meals to food banks located in the hardest-hit areas of New Jersey and New York. If you were ever interested in this subscription box, now is the time to try it out. It's only $12 a month.. You can also save $5 with the code HOLIDAY12 through November 30. Become introduced to new foods while helping those in need.

Here is the Love with Food Thanksgiving box curated by TLC's Amy Roloff from the hit show Little People, Big World. Amy is also cook book author, click here to check out her book Short and Simple Family Recipes. Awesome box Amy!
This box was so much fun. Every item had a nod to Thanksgiving dinner. How do you shop a turkey? The Little Red Dot Kitchen BBQ Turkey Bak Kwa. "Bak Kwa" was rated as the top 10th Singaporean food one can't live without by CNNGo.com. Aspen Mulling Company Cider Spices brings the apple to the table. Speaking of popular pies, Stash Pumpkin Spice tea will give you that warm and cozy feeling without the calories of pumpkin pie.
Roasted Inka Corn from Inka Crops are delicious. Organic Mango Pear & Pineapple Fruit Snacks from fruit.0 will be my next traveling breakfast snack. Thanks to Love with Food, I have learned that squeezable fruit is for adults too.
I was very excited to see Skeeter Chocolate Chip Cookies. These cookies are amazing and are nut free. Fruit and Nut Mini Crunch from Mrs. May's Naturals are bite-sized munches of berries and almonds are sweetened with a touch of rice malt and cane sugar. Gluten-free, kosher, and free of trans fats! I fell in love with Mrs. May's fruit strips from last months box! Yay!
The icing on the cake was the Chocolate Truffle Pig. I collect pigs, in fact, I have pigs in every room of the house. This is the perfect chocolate for me to give away as gifts.
Plus, they are as cute as they are delicious!! My Mom will have a fit when she see's these.

  1. I absolutely LOVED my box this month! Usually there are one or two items that I eat immediately, but it has taken everything in me to now devour this entire box all at one time!

    1. I did too. I am obsessed with those pigs. I ate the corn, cookies, pig last night. I am staring at the mini crunch now. I got this box, my Goodie Co. box and the Cravebox all within a two day span. Subscription box overload!

    2. I just discovered Goodie Co. - Only $7 right? Are that and Cravebox worth the money? I'm a sucker for random food showing up at my house unexpectedly ;)

    3. Yes, Goodie is only $7 & well worth it. I will have my review up on Saturday or Monday. My first Cravebox was so so but the last one I got for Cooking Light was awesome and well worth it. I'm anticipating the Knorr one as well. Crave isn't a monthly box, it is a theme box which you sign up for so you are able to decide what you want which is nice.

  2. I got my first Love with Food box! It was so much fun trying all of the different things. I took a bite of the cookie, but then had to give the rest to my son. They were SOOO good! And the chocolate pig was definitely a fave!

    1. Yay!! You will love this subscription box. My boyfriend ate the cookie, I got a bite of it. Then of all things, he found another cookie, different flavor, same brand in our pantry. I have no idea where I got it from, probably another subscription box!

  3. It's like they knew to send these pigs just for you! ;-) I had to spread my goodies out and only bring one snack to work at a time, too.
