Salted Caramel Chocolate Yonana Recipe

Monday, November 12, 2012
Things have been a little quiet on my end and this is my reason why:
My niece Madison was born on Friday at 3:45 and she is perfect in every way. I love her so much already. It wrenched my heart to leave Daytona last night and I am a little depressed today. I needed a pick me up and went through the Dole Yonana recipes submitted on my blog last week and decided to brighten up someones day.

Without further ado, the winner of the Yonana Machine is Marie S. from Tampa, ironically the same city where I live. I made a few revisions to her recipe. It was simply amazing.

SALTED CARAMEL YONANA
This recipe is inspired by the flavor combo that seems to be sweeping the foodie nation.
Ingredients:

  • 2 Frozen Ripe Bananas
  • 1 tablespoon Caramel Sauce
  • Mini Chocolate Chips (Semi Sweet)
  • Magic Shell Chocolate Ice Cream topping
  • A dash of Sea Salt (I used too much on the photo above)

Directions:
Place two frozen bananas in Yonana Frozen Dessert maker, adding chocolate chips as you go along. Stir in caramel sauce and freeze for 12-24 hours. Use round ice cream scoop and place one scoop of Yonana dessert in bowl Top with Chocolate Ice Cream topping (hardens when served on cold dessert) and a tiny bit of sea salt.

Thank you for everyone who participated!
